Bob Smytherman

I have been a Local Councillor for Liberal Democrats in Worthing for Tarring since 2002 and was the Executive member for Planning and Economic Development in 2003/4.
I live and work locally. I worked in Old Nick\’s burger Bar in Worthing for 15 years after leaving college, before starting my own business.I am currently a Night Manager at the Chatsworth Hotel two nights a week and was a Cycling Instructor for West Sussex County Council teaching Year 6 and 7 children from local schools.

I was leader of the Lib Dem group on Worthing Council from June 2004 until 2008 and reelected to represent Tarring Ward in May 2006 and 2010. I am currently Shadow Cabinet Member for Health, Safety and Well-Being
I was elected as County Councillor for the Tarring Division in June 2009 and currently Spokesman for Adult Services
I am also Chairman of the Federation of Private Residents Association that have been helping leaseholders for the last 40 years.

Lib Dem Tarring Division Weekly Surgery is held at West Worthing Baptist Church in South Street , Tarring from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon EVERY Saturday morning
