Rebuilding UK fish stocks and protecting our fishermen

The battle to protect dwindling fish stocks is vital for the future of UK fishermen, for too long, too many boats have been chasing too few fish. Catherine Bearder Member of the European Parliament for the South-East of England insisted.

The old adage ‘there’s plenty more fish in the sea’, ironically, seems not to apply to Europe’s over fished waters.

However, the European Parliament has dropped anchor on the aggressive pillaging of the continent’s seas.

The European Parliament, in Strasbourg, has voted through ambitious reforms of the EU’s Common Fisheries Policy.
