Make way for self-service at Worthing Library

Self-service terminals are being installed at Chichester Library

Worthing Library will be closed from Friday November 4 at 7pm to Monday November 28 at 9am. This is to allow for the installation of a self-service system.

People can still borrow up to 20 items before the temporary closure or use other branches. The nearest Libraries to Worthing are Broadwater, Goring and Durrington. Other nearby branches include Ferring, Findon Valley, Lancing and Shoreham.

West Sussex County Council Deputy Leader, Lionel Barnard, who oversees the Library Service, said: “The self-service terminals will allow you to borrow and return your loans quickly and easily by using the touch screen and following the instructions.

“You will be able to print a list of what you’ve borrowed, check when an item is due for return and make any cash payments. Staff will also be on hand to help.”
