Shoreham Farmers Market once again voted the best!

The popular Shoreham farmers market was voted the Best Farmers Market in Sussex in the 2011/2012 Sussex Food and Drinks Awards on Thursday 26th January at the Amex Stadium. Shoreham was also a winner of the award in 2008/09 and has been a runner up since the formation of the Sussex Food & Drink awards in 2006.

The Farmers’ market is celebrating 10 years since the first market in July 2001 and boasts over 70 stalls selling a wide range of local produce and products and is probably the largest in Sussex. In addition it provides an opportunity as a great social gathering place where friends and acquaintances can meet and chat.

Shoreham’s award winning Farmers market recently returned to East Street following a £600,000 facelift to East Street which has created a more pedestrian friendly and a continental style area for visitors to enjoy.

David Steadman says: “It is great news that Shoreham farmers market is once again a winner in this prestigious event, celebrating local food”

The success of Shoreham Farmers Market is its wide variety of local produce, the support of the traders and the hundreds of visitors/shoppers that regularly support the market every month. Many thanks again to all those who have made the market so successful.”

Shoreham Farmers’ Market takes place on the second Saturday of every month in East Street Shoreham 9am to 1pm.
