Adur, West & East Worthing Party including East Arun

Still time to get involved in this summers Adur & Worthing Food & Drink Festival

Our aim is to get taste buds tingling at the thought of so much lovely food and drink being showcased at this new initiative. Food and drink businesses can get involved by having stalls, giving demonstrations or tastings, create a special festival menu, dish, cocktail or offer for the period of the festival.

The festival will begin in Worthing on 7th & 8th July with events in South Street Square and Steyne Garden and finish in Shoreham-by-Sea with a Chilli Festival on 14th and 15th July. And there will be lots of offers and events taking place throughout the district in between.

Cllr Jim Funnell, Adur Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said: “We know we’ve got some fantastic producers and growers’ right here on our doorstep. This will be a marvellous way to celebrate all that is local. I am really excited about this initiative and hope all of you will be too and get involved. The interest in sustainability and buying local appears to be growing all the time so let us do what we do best and show off what we’ve got.”

Cllr Bryan Turner, Worthing Cabinet Member for Regeneration, adds: “We are appealing to all of you ‘foodies’ to come forward to get involved in making this event something to be proud of in our area. Worthing is already fortunate to have a great variety and choice of places to eat and drink. This new festival will be a fantastic opportunity for them all to showcase what they have to offer.”

Sharon Clarke, Worthing Town Centre Manager, adds: “We’re putting together an exciting programme for the South Street Square stage and kitchen but we are still looking for more people to get involved.”
