Emma Norton - Salvington Ward

Emma Norton is a campaigner and candidate for Salvington ward. She has 3 children and has lived in Worthing for well over 30 years.

Emma originally trained and worked as a marine biologist, but following a career change, she demonstrated her life-long love of learning and became a college lecturer specialising in engineering.

Emma is a keen scuba diver and paddleboarder and loves our local countryside and coastline, "I am really concerned by the scourge of sewage being dumped in our rivers and at sea. We need clean water and beaches for our residents and local economy."

In her work, Emma sees many of the challenges our young people face and wants Worthing to be a safe space for all. Emma would like to see more opportunities for everyone with more affordable homes, the right local facilities and good public transport links. She recognises the need for a sustainable future to protect not just our local environment, but the entire planet.
