Iona Harte - Tarring Ward

Originally from Durrington I have since moved to Tarring, I was educated locally at Worthing High and Worthing VI Form college. I went on to qualify in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Portsmouth University and have always worked in Worthing or the local area. Having been a Worthing Borough Councillor previously I have the experience of Chairing Committees and understand how the council works. I am currently working at Worthing College in the Science department. I have two children who are at school and college in Worthing, and I enjoy supporting and working with the local community, by going to the local café or having my haircut at the local hairdresser. I am currently secretary to Tarring Neighbourhood Watch having also held responsible positions with other Resident Associations. As a Friend of Tarring Park I am helping with the events being held in the Park and you can also find me with other Community Gardeners looking after the rainwater gardens in Tarring.
