Merlin Jones - Goring Ward and Division

I have always lived in Worthing, the past twenty-one years in Goring where I am raising my family. At the age of thirteen I joined the Air Cadets, and this is where my volunteer work for various veterans’ charities started.

At eighteen years of age I was co-opted onto the committee of a local charity, and I have been a committee member of numerous veterans’ charities since then.

I am also a trustee of The Hampshire Reptile Trust and have worked as garden designer.

My claim to fame : In 2008 I became a standard bearer on parades and at Remembrance services across the local area, and since 2025 I have run a local branch of a veteran’s charity in Worthing.

My aim for the council : I would like to see more opportunities for young people in the Worthing area.
